People's love for the post 9/11 Bush, to me, seems to be a purely emotional response. Bush after 9/11 remonded me of that old guy who pedaled Quaker oatmeal and played Pops in The Natural. He came off as this earnest, down-home guy we all wanted to rest our shoulder on.

It seems ironic that liberals are branded as these emotional wrecks incapable of rational thought. Yet the GOPs love for George Bush seems to be VERY emotional and not altogether rational.
