What this Internet needs is a good web site where you can locate restaurants that offer free or cheap kids' meals. Unfortunately, we don't have one. A couple of sites have tried, but those sites aren't well maintained or particularly thorough. So I've started my own, primarily covering my home turf of Fairfax, Centreville, and Chantilly, Virginia, and branching out into neighboring communities.

· IHOP, 13810 Braddock Road, Centreville.

· IHOP, 13804 Metrotech Drive, Chantilly. 4-9 PM. Moved from Thursday.

· Joe’s Crab Shack, 12831 Fair Lakes Parkway, Fairfax. $1.99. Indoor playground!

· Ledo Pizza, 5081 Westfields Blvd., Centreville. The adult has to order off the “entrees” portion of the menu.

· Moe’s, 5005 Westone Plaza, Chantilly. It went away for a while, now it’s back.

· Silver Diner, 12250 Fair Lakes Pkwy, Fairfax. Free kids’ milkshakes; if you get a coupon for a free meal from their kids’ club, it’s good Tuesdays only. (The “free meal for your birthday” coupon is good any time, however.)

· Texas Road House, 4993 Westone Plaza, Chantilly. When you buy a kid’s meal, you get a token good for a free kid’s meal on your next visit, so it’s basically a free one every other time you go.

Wednesday

· California Tortilla, 12239 Fair Lakes Parkway, Fairfax.

· Ledo Pizza, 5081 Westfields Blvd., Centreville. The adult has to order off the “entrees” portion of the menu.

· Los Toltecos, locations in Fairfax Station, Sterling, and Winchester.
